Jamk Shop agreement and delivery terms

Jamk Shop sells products to private individuals and companies. The product prices displayed in the online store include the applicable value-added tax (VAT) if the product is subject to VAT. We reserve the right to change prices and delivery costs.

1. Registration and personal data

Ordering from the online store does not require registration. By registering in the online store, you can make your purchases faster in the future and view the orders you have placed. The username is the e-mail address provided during registration; the password is set by the customer during registration. The username and password are personal. The customer is responsible for storing their username and password and for ensuring that they do not end up in the knowledge or possession of third parties. The Customer is responsible for all use with his/her username and password and for any costs or fees arising therefrom.

The customer must provide the necessary information required for the use of the service in the online store. Jamk University of Applied Sciences has the right to process the customer’s personal data in accordance with the privacy legislation. Customer information is stored in the online store’s customer register. Jamk University of Applied Sciences does not disclose the customer’s personal data to third parties for direct advertising, distance selling or other direct marketing. The customer’s information is removed from the customer register when it is no longer needed.

2. Ordering and order confirmation

As a rule, products are ordered online at shop.jamk.fi through the shopping cart. All orders are confirmed by e-mail, indicating the price of the order and the products ordered. To receive an order confirmation, you must provide an e-mail address when ordering. In connection with each order, the customer agrees to the valid terms of use and delivery of the online store as well as the special terms and conditions concerning the product to be ordered.

3. Payment methods and payment service providers

Products are paid for when ordering. Payment takes place over a secure connection in Paytrail and Flywire -through online payment services.

Payment service providers and payment service providers are: Paytrail Plc ja Flywire in cooperation with Finnish banks and credit institutions. Paytrail ja Flywire will appear as the payee on your bank statement or card billing information and forward the payment to the merchant. Paytrail and Flywire are authorized as a payment institution. In case of complaints, please contact the product supplier in the first instance. Payment is made through Paytrail or Flywire websites. Jamk University of Applied Sciences acts as a marketer of products and services and delivers the products to the buyer.

4. Prices and VAT

For orders placed from the online store, the valid price is the price that is specified for each product in the online store at the time of ordering. The right to change prices is reserved. All prices are quoted in Euros (EUR). The product prices displayed in the online store include the VAT in force at any given time if the product is subject to VAT.

5. Time and method of delivery

The delivery time of the products varies depending on the products. More detailed delivery times and methods can be found separately in the product information.

6. Returns and exchanges

In accordance with the Finnish Consumer Protection Act, the customer has a 14-day right of exchange and return. We do not accept returns more than 14 days after delivery. The returned/exchanged product and original product packaging must be in the same condition as when it was received. All return/exchange costs shall be paid by the returner, unless there is a clear defect in the delivery attributable to the supplier. The cancellation policy for training and services is described in the product information.

Product returns must always be agreed separately with the supplier. We kindly ask the customer to contact the supplier before returning the product to the e-mail address indicated in the order confirmation.

7. Service maintenance, usability and error situations

Jamk University of Applied Sciences does its best to ensure that the operation of the online store is flawless and uninterrupted. Jamk University of Applied Sciences has the right to interrupt the online store due to its modification, renewal or technical reason related to the online store, or due to repair, installation or maintenance work of the telecommunications network or other similar reason, or if required by legislation or other official regulations. The aim is to schedule outages so that they do not cause unreasonable inconvenience to the customer.

Jamk University of Applied Sciences is not responsible for errors caused by interruptions in telecommunications connections or other telecommunications-related services provided by a third party or errors in these services. Jamk University of Applied Sciences is also not responsible for errors caused by the customer using the online store contrary to instructions or regulations or otherwise caused by the customer.

8. Data security

The online store is secured using SSL protocol. The customer is responsible for the appropriate management of the information security of its own information systems. Jamk University of Applied Sciences keeps all information concerning or sent by the customer confidential. Jamk University of Applied Sciences organizes the information security of its online store in a generally acceptable and efficient manner and strives to prevent unauthorized access to its information systems with appropriate technical solutions.

9. Hardware, software, and connectivity

The customer is responsible for acquiring the equipment, software and network connections required for using the online store, its functionality and the costs caused by them. They must not cause disturbance or other harm to the online store or other network users.

10. Liability for damages

Jamk University of Applied Sciences is only liable to the customer for direct damage that it has negligently caused by violating the agreement. If it can be established that this is a mistake on the part of JAMK University of Applied Sciences, the customer may be compensated for the costs unduly charged from the customer in the online store.

Jamk University of Applied Sciences is not liable to pay damages or other indirect or direct compensation or compensation due to disturbances or errors mentioned in paragraph 6.

11. Force majeure

Force majeure releases Jamk University of Applied Sciences from its obligations related to the online store if it prevents or unreasonably impedes the performance related to the online store. Force majeure causes include a fire, earthquake, flood, explosion, strike or other work stoppage, order by an authority, disturbance in energy supply, shortage of raw materials or supplies, cable or other telecommunications disruption caused by or caused by an outsider, or other similar reason that was not known and for which it could not reasonably have been prepared in advance. Jamk University of Applied Sciences will notify of force majeure on the website of the online store immediately after it has occurred, if notification is possible.

12. Changes to the terms of use and delivery

Jamk University of Applied Sciences is entitled to change these terms of use and delivery of the online store after notifying the online store of the changes well in advance before the changes enter into force.

13. Disputes

Any disputes during the agreement shall always be resolved primarily through mutual negotiations. If no agreement is reached in the negotiations, the matter will be submitted to the consumer protection authority or the district court in accordance with Finnish law.
